2835 Lever Handle Latchbolt Lock - Standard

EASY OPEN & AUTO LOCKING!

This lock is just like the 2230-Latchbolt Lock, except that it has lever handles and a hold-back feature on the inside.

Each time the door is closed, it locks unless the latchbolt hold-back feature is engaged. This can be a wonderful convenience if you are going to be going in and out a lot. And a lever handle gives you added leverage for easier opening.

In addition to the holdback feature, this lock has a by-pass function so it can remain in the unlocked position, if you prefer. This makes it ideal for an office environment where the door should remain unlocked during business hours, but locked after hours. For added security, you will need to know the code to use the by-pass function. Simply just enter the code followed by the Y on the keypad, this will enable or disable the by-pass function.

The latchbolt is set in the hole in the door where the deadbolt normally goes, so this lock installs and operates very much like a standard deadbolt lock. However, the latchbolt head also contains a burglar-proof plunger for added safety.

Measurements

This keyless combination spring latchbolt works on doors 1-3/16" to 2" thick either right hand or left hand. If your door is between 2" to 5" please order the Extension Kit.

Installation

To install, simply remove the existing deadbolt from the top hole of your door and replace it with this lock. Then, in the bottom hole, install a matching lever or knob passage set as featured on our home page. Locking and Unlocking

Using all our keyless digital locks is quick and easy. On the inside, this lock can be locked or unlocked by just turning the lever handle.

Since this lock has a latchbolt it will automatically lock when the door is closed unless you have enabled the by-pass mechanism.

As with all our keyless digital locks, this lock is all mechanical and requires no keys, wires, or batteries to operate. This lock is completely weatherproof and can withstand all types of weather.

Additional Notes

A popular option for this lock is the oversized knob (PT002). It is 1-3/4" in diameter and 1-1/4" deep for easy grasping and turning. Especially when one is wearing gloves.
